We proudly support our KAT artist, Eddy Sloof. He is a Switzerland-based percussionist, who plays the malletKAT and Roland's V-Drums.

1. Which KAT instrument do you play? How many octaves?

I Play a 4 octave malletKAT Grand.

2. How long have you been playing malletKAT?

I've played the mallets for many years. Since 4 years ago, I'm a happy malletKAT Player

3. What do you like about it?

I like it very much to use different sounds, use midi, and of course, to have a perfect marimba, vibraphone etc in one Instrument. I can transport it very easy and it sounds perfect in every situation

4. What kind of venues do you play at? Have you had any problems with the volume of the malletKAT?

The venues are mostly jazzclubs (50-100 guests) and some festivals (500 guests). We allways use a PA System when we play live and I prefer to have an sound engineer (which I trust) at the mixing desk. With this setup, we've never had volume issues. Of course you have to balance the different malletKAT sounds properly and for the percussion sounds (vibes, xylophone etc.) You really need a good compressor.

malletKAT is easy to fit in to your sound reinforcement.
